I’m passionate about software implementations with over 25 years proven experience managing custom and packaged software project implementation teams (directly or in an oversight capacity). I’ve worked for a start-up software company, start-up services organization and in a large worldwide services organization with hundreds of people.
I started and grew the Kofax Professional Services practice in 6 years from two consultants into a multi-million-dollar services organization with 17 team members (managing three Project Managers and 13 Consultants/Architects). Ultimately, I facilitated the reorganization of the group into three teams each headed by a Professional Services Manager who reported up to the VP of Professional Services.
As a Project Manager I’ve successfully managed 100’s of professional service software projects ranging from a few thousand dollars with one or two local resources to over a million dollars with a dozen resources located in different regions of the globe. In the role of Engagement Manager, I’ve excelled at managing a portfolio of Fortune 500 accounts and projects as the first level contact for escalations. I know how to be the customer advocate while also managing expectations.
Along with starting a Professional Services practice I also established Best Practices for all phases of the implementation including Presales Qualifying/Scoping, Project Initiation, Design, Development, Implementation and Hand-Off; plus Status Reporting, Scope Change Management, Project Time Tracking, Expense Tracking, and Billing.
